Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has postponed his upcoming show at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas due to technical difficulties. The show was scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 10, 2023.
In a statement on social media, Sheeran said, “I’m so sorry to announce that I’ve had to postpone my show in Las Vegas tonight due to some technical difficulties. We’re working hard to get everything fixed as soon as possible and I’ll be back there as soon as I can. All tickets for the September 10 show will be valid for the rescheduled date.”
Sheeran did not specify what the technical difficulties were, but he said that they were “beyond our control.” He apologized to fans who had traveled to Las Vegas for the show and said that he would be rescheduling it for a later date.
The postponement of Sheeran’s Las Vegas show is the latest in a series of technical difficulties that have plagued his + – = ÷ x Tour. In June, Sheeran’s show in Dublin was canceled due to power outages. And in July, his show in Glasgow was delayed due to technical problems.
Despite the setbacks, Sheeran’s tour has been a commercial success. The tour has grossed over $1 billion, making it the highest-grossing tour of all time.
Sheeran is scheduled to return to Las Vegas for his rescheduled show on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Tickets for the show are on sale now.
