Liverpool and Bayern Munich played out a thrilling seven-goal draw in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday.

The Reds took the lead twice in the first half, through Cody Gakpo and Virgil van Dijk. However, Bayern Munich responded with goals from Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane to level the scores at 2-2 at halftime.

The second half was just as entertaining, with both teams creating chances. Luis Diaz put Liverpool ahead for the third time in the game, but Bayern Munich equalized again through Josip Stanisic.

The match looked to be heading for a draw, but in the dying minutes, substitute Frans Kratzig scored a stunning winner for Bayern Munich to give the German side a 4-3 victory.

The result was a disappointing one for Liverpool, who were looking to build some momentum ahead of the start of the Premier League season. However, the match was an entertaining spectacle, and both teams will be pleased with their performances.
